Using IC card for intercity travel in Kyoto Forum Posted July 11, 2016 I know that IC cards can normally be used within one city/region, not when travelling between two cities. I wonder if Kyoto - Osaka is a special case. Can an IC card be used for payment when traveling between Kyoto and Osaka on JR, Keihan or Hankyu lines?
