Does the Baggage Room at Shin-Osaka Station accept large articles for storage. The approximate size of the box is 1300mmx800mmx30mm. A hotel might agree to keep it for you as a favor, but you should probably ask them that in advance. There are also baggage storage facilities at airports that you might be able to use. At Kansai Airport large items cost 1,030 yen a day: http://www.kansai-airport.or.jp/en/service/baggage/ I hope that helps!
