CDG Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 I'm planning my Kumano Kodo on March 2025, I arrive at KIX at 7pm on a Friday, where can I find schedule of the train to Kii Tanabe? I want to know if I need to stay in Osaka for the night or can I travel straight to Tanabe that night. I've been trying to Google stuff, but it's a bit confusing to me and time consuming trying to figure out everything. I'm a bit lost and would appreciate help. Thank you. Quote
Japan Station Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 The best way to travel from Kansai International Airport (KIX) to Kii Tanabe is by taking the Express Kuroshio train. If you can depart Kansai Airport Station by 8:30 PM, you can catch the final Kuroshio Express from JR Hineno Station, arriving at Kii Tanabe around 11 PM. To get to Hineno Station from KIX, take the Kansai Airport Line. Google Maps Route: Weekdays | Weekends (Sat & Sun). Alternatively, you can use regular trains to reach Kii Tanabe. While this option takes longer, the final train departs at 9 PM. The route is as follows: Kansai Airport Station → Hineno Station → Wakayama Station → Kii Tanabe Station. If you are staying in Osaka, we'd recommend to stay near Tennoji Station. The area is more convenient than Hineno Station, as it has a shopping district and additional amenities. Tennoji Station is also a stop for the Kuroshio Express. Quote
