Sandy Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Hello there. I need to travel on 4th December from Osaka to Kanazawa. Needed a view on two questions 1. Is it easier from Osaka Centre to access trains/buses or Kansai International Airport. Accordingly Ill store my extra luggage in one of the two locations 2A. If Train is better, how do I book tickets before I reach Japan? Rather what website can I use to book and which station should I board from? 2B. If I take a bus, what should be the bus stop I should board from? Thank You in advance for your help. Sandy Quote
Japan Station Posted October 31 Posted October 31 >1. Is it easier from Osaka Centre to access trains/buses or Kansai International Airport? Where should I store my extra luggage? Osaka City Center is significantly more convenient for accessing trains and buses to Kanazawa. Major stations like Osaka Station and Shin-Osaka Station are hubs for trains and buses heading to Kanazawa. These stations offer ample luggage storage options, including coin lockers and luggage storage services. >2A. If train is better, how do I book tickets before I reach Japan? What website can I use to book, and which station should I board from? Train from Osaka to Kanazawa: Take the Thunderbird Limited Express train to Tsuruga. At Tsuruga transfer to Hokuriku Shinkansen to Kanazawa. There is no need to book tickets before you reach Japan. You can book tickets at any JR ticket office in Japan a few days in advance. >2B. If I take a bus, what should be the bus stop I should board from? Bus from Osaka to Kanazawa takes approximately 4 to 5 hours (longer than the train but often cheaper). You can take a bus from Osaka Station JR Express Bus Terminal or Osaka City Air Terminal (OCAT) located in Namba or Hankyu Bus Terminal near Umeda Station. Booking Bus Tickets online via Japan Bus Online or WILLER Express. Quote
