Can I use Suica card for Tokaido-Sanyo Line?

I plan to travel from Kyoto to Osaka by taking the Tokaido-Sanyo Line Special Rapid Nishi-Akashi. Can I use suica for this line or do I need to book a ticket somewhere? Thanks in adcance.

Yes, you can use a Suica, or any other IC card, to take the Kyoto line Special Rapid train between Kyoto and Osaka.

An additional ticket is only required on Limited Express trains or Shinkansen.
