Theresa Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Hello, We are planning to visit Sapporo this October using JR pass from Tokyo in the evening (some time around 7 - 8 PM), which means we will arrive at Shin Hakodate Hokuto Station sometime around midnight. We have quickly checked and note that the earliest train to Sapporo will go on the next morning which means that we have around 5 - 6 hours transit time. Could you please advise whether there is any room/shower in the station for taking a rest in the station? If not, where would you suggest us to stay during our transit? Thanks and much appreciated your feedback. Cheers Quote
Japan Station Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Hi Theresa, Unfortunately, there are no hotels around Shin Hakodate Hokuto Station at the moment. There is one under construction. The last shinkansen train departs Tokyo at 19:20 and arrives at Shin Hakodate Hokuto at 23:33. You can then take a Hakodate Liner train to Hakodate, it only takes 20 minutes to get there. The last Hakodate Liner departs from Shin Hakodate Hokuto 23:46. There are many hotels to choose from near Hakodate station. http://www.hakodatestation.com/hotels-near-hakodate-station/ The next morning you can catch a direct train from Hakodate to Sapporo. Quote
