Any change in the opening hours to big stores like Isetan and Aeon between Dec 31 to Jan 3? What stores around Kyoto Station are generally still open during new year period? Japan Station Posted November 10, 2017 Share Posted November 10, 2017 Isetan at Kyoto Station will close at 6:00 pm on December 31st and reopen at 9:30 am on January 2nd. Aeon mall is open every day during the new year holidays. The souvenir shops within the station will be open every day, most other shops in the city usually close on January 1st, but are open on all other days around New Year.
