Suica pass between Tokyo Station and Kanazawa

 It's my first visit to Japan in November. Can I use a Suica pass to travel from Tokyo to Kanazawa. Also do I need to book my ticket in advance of travel when I arrive<

Hi Annie,

You cannot use a Suica card to travel between different regions. Suica is not really a pass, it's a prepaid transportation card that is loaded with cash and used for short trips within one region/city. Generally you don't need to book tickets in advance. Tickets can be bought on the day of travel or a few days earlier at any JR ticket office anywhere in Japan.
