Arashiyama Bamboo Grove is about 15 minutes walk from JR Arashiyama Station or Arashiyama Station of Randen Arashiyama Line.   11. Hello there, It is possible to go to Nyucho by buses from JR Nara Station. You will need to change at Yagyu-higashi then Yagyu-nyu or Yagyu-nyu-guchi would be the closest bus stops to Nyucho. Generally the South Gate is closer when you use lower numbered carriages of the shinkansen, and the North Gate is closer to higher numbered carriages.
